Depuis 2021, toute donnée de santé devra être référencée avec l' Identité Nationale de Santé (INS) constituée de l'identifiant national de santé et des traits d'identité de l’usager, tels que connus dans l'état civil.
Le téléservice INSi (Identifiant National de Santé intégré) permet aux seuls acteurs de la santé et du médico-social d'obtenir l’Identité Nationale de Santé (INS) d'un patient/usager.
